| Are the 2 red destroyed bridges south of 1st Para drop area of any use to either side in this scenario? I moved a Brit bridge repair unit next to them but the bridge couldn't be repaired. Are they just illustrative? |

They don't always get destroyed. I played as Fritz recently and my opponent didn't destroy one of them and I managed to move some units over there (ok they died, but it was a good idea at the time). I think there's a high probability they get demolished when an allied unit moves next to them, but it's not 100% (IIRC). _________________

Just build a bridge in one of the hexes nearby.
For this you need the bridge laying engineers - which are different to the normal engineers.

| The British do not have units with pontoon bridges. The Nederrijn at Arnhem is about 800 feet wide, it would be a major operation of several days to bridge it with pontoons. |
